I recently wrapped up a 30-month tenure with  Humanities Washington’s Speakers Bureau, during which I traveled around beautiful Washington State, sharing my talk, “A Nicer Kind of Murder.” It details the evolution of the mystery genre and the growing role of empathy in contemporary crime fiction. Find my list of recommended titles related to the talk here.
